It's almost time to leave-so sad! We are preparing to come home. What a fruitful summer we have had! Please pray for our travels home and all the editing Ryan has to do. We are so excited to see the final product and we hope that it will aid TWR in raising all their funds for installing new transmitters on Guam. Thanks so much for all your support!

We have been working hard here on the island. Thanks to God, we have had great weather for shooting this week. We have almost all our shots, so right now we are working on doing voice-over stuff. Thank you so much for all your prayers! They have been helping us through! :) -Ansley

Oh, by the way, we had and earthquake the other day! That was exciting! :)

Guam

Well, we have the go-ahead! We are starting to shoot our video, and we will actually have two different versions. We had good weather this morning, so we were able to get a lot done, but we don't know if conditions will be as good for the rest of the week. Please pray that we get clear weather in the mornings this week, because that is when we need to do most of our shooting.

The people here in Guam have been so welcoming! We went to a young adult group once, and since then people have been inviting us to do things like hiking, a make-your-own sushi party, the game "signs," karoake, and rock band! It will be hard to leave such a beautiful island with such wonderful people. -Ansley

The containers safely nestled in.

The transmitters are arriving! This is the whole reason we are here. The video we are creating will be used to raise funds for the project.Until the total amount is raised (about $690,000), nothing can be done with the transmitters. They will just sit here on the site until then. Here they are coming in, but having a bit of trouble.

On Guam

Hey y’all! We have been working hard in Guam on our script. We got it turned in, and we are waiting to get the go-ahead. It is kind of difficult to film here, because like China, it is rainy season. We have to get everything set up when it’s cloudy and just pray for sun. We have got a good portion of our video shot, and it looks good! Please pray that everything gets approved so we can continue our filming. We have less than two weeks so please pray that we get everything done that we need to! -Ansley

Our Travels So Far

Well, we've arrived safely in Guam. China was quite an adventure! Our translator and travel guide was wonderful, steering us safely around and ordering food for us from the most interesting Asian cuisines! In Shanghai, we were able to get a lot of good stock footage of China-from the most advanced downtown areas (including 13 story shopping malls!)to ancient temples dating back to the 1500's-quite a switch! China was an amazing combination of old traditions and futuristic advancements. Our highlight of the trip was talking with Chinese listeners, some of whom had been listening since the 1980's. It was such a privilege to hear how each of their lives were so touched by TWR's ministry.

Now that we are in Guam, we are pushing forward in planning out the rest of the fund-raising video. Thank you so much for you support and prayers! They have been carrying us safely through! -Ansley:)

Our Summer Project

The organization we are working with this summer is TWR (formerly known as Trans World Radio), a Christian broadcasting network that sends the gospel and and assortment of Christian programs across the globe. The biggest need they have now is to raise funds for new transmitters at their site on Guam. This sight reaches out all over Asia, but the transmitters there are getting pretty ancient. TWR has located new transmitters in order to continue broadcasting, so the video we are creating this summer will be sent out to donors in order to raise funds for the project. Our travels will include China (a main target of the broadcasts) and Guam, where the broadcasts are sent forth.
